Sick! Alaska has the highest one of the assault/rape total for USA and is suppose to be changing that. But this is how they treat the victims.

September 20 at 8:06 PM  Alaskans Against Gov Walker PFD Theft  I realize this article that I wrote in response to the op-ed in the Anchorage Daily News today doesn't specifically stick to the PFD and theft of same, but bear with me, it circles around to that. Here it is: This opinion piece made me sick ad now I'm going to have to cancel my subscription to the ADN. First, it was so "opinionated" and biased toward Walker that it ceased to be an opinion piece but rather a free ad politicking for Walker. Second, Alaska's toughest budget choices wouldn't be yet to come if Walker AND the Legislature had done their job in the past three years by stepping up to the budget plate. Third, the PFD should have never been a discussion point to "balancing" the budget or to aid in addressing the manufactured budget crisis. I don't care what kind of gap those folks in Juneau manufactured to justify 'capping' the PFD, it is not the state's money, it is the people's money and it was taken through devious and illegal means. Four, spending cuts that diminish state services deeper than anything Alaskans have yet experienced is absolutely a lie. If those spending cuts are made to achieve a sustainable budget, services will never be diminished deeper than anything we've ever experienced unless the opinion writer has not been here longer than 10-15 years. Many of those programs and services didn't even exist back then. Five, the PFD cap wasn't "sort of" a de facto head tax, it WAS and IS a de facto head tax and it has nothing to do with whether you have little to no income or a six-figure income. That money belongs to every eligible man, woman and child in this state and again, was illegally stolen from what is rightfully ours. Six, the opinion piece didn't have to blatantly support the oil companies of the state but chose to anyway. Despite our bust or boom oil economy, there is one indisputable fact, and that is the oil companies in this state have taken vast and incalculable billions if not trillions from this state and laugh at every legislative session when the suggestion of a budget crisis is made. At the end of the day, we do deserve honest and straight forward answers which we haven't received for the past three years, either from the Legislature or the governor. One thing I do know is we have a spending crisis NOT a budget crisis and it hasn't been addressed to date. The governor has failed us with his non-viable, ridiculous, vastly expensive gas pipeline. He has also failed to provide a viable sustainable budget. He has failed the people of this state on many fronts, but when he singularly, with his band of 1 percenters and supporters, found a way to invade the portion of the Permanent Fund dedicated to the dividend and institute a tax through the theft of one-half of this year's dividend not to mention two years before this, he crossed a line. He lied to us once but for this voter, never again. Walker HAS NOT been a good governor, he has not been fiscally responsible and he has not done his fiduciary duty. He does not deserve the faith and trust of the people of Alaska to lead this state as governor.

Exactly! I’ll add one more to this. If Spendowitch (Begich) gets voted in, things will get even higher and the debts will become bigger. Both want to expand the “Social Welfare Programs” and pass the buck to us in new taxes.  Politadick
