As we approach the November general election, 2 things burst out in this age of Republican candidate promises. First, will the PFD be restored as the people'srightful share of the state's oil profits and not spent to the benefit of special interests that operate the state? Second, will SB 91 be repealed and not be prolonged life as Obamacare and Dodd/Frank continue to live to the benefit of special interests that operate the state?
Have we learned a lesson with the behavior of our senior US Senator? Do we the voters understand the desperate flaw in the character of some of our elected officials and not strive to hold them accountable? Is the adequacy of representation focused on the deception to be elected and re-elected?
Let's hold our future elected officials accountable now! Today! Not after the election. Let's keep a score card of their commitments and weigh it as a balance sheet after they are elected. They are our employees, not royalty or the privileged.
