Gossip, innuendo and ridiculous statements are their stock in trade.

Both have stepped up to salvage the scandal-engulfed Gabby LeDoux. The election fraud in the primary, the sudden and weird death of her California campaign operative, the grasping for campaign cash that has made her a legend in her own mind and her total absence of political principles, have caused her to be rejected by her own District.

So Boss Beltrami and cheesy campaign hack Hackney create cards about the Party Bosses...and me in particular - photo shopped cigar and all!

Silly season. Rather a desperate move on their parts.

I am a 100 percent a political volunteer. I am elected by grassroots delegates elected by local Republicans.

Art Hackney will say anything about anybody if someone will pay him 30 pieces of silver. Zero principles. Zero scruples. But a guy has to make a living, so there will always be a Hackney skulking around.

Vince Beltrami controls people, money and government. He likes it when people are forced to give him union dues, when politicians like Bill Walker do whatever they are told by Boss Vinnie and when his union delegates, while choosing between Mark Begich and Bill Walker, reportedly voted unanimously to endorse Vinnie’s stooge. Unanimously. Right. Stalin would be proud.

Politics does not have to be this way.

There are candidates who run on principles, policies and promises that are real. Candidates who are true to their word.

I am proud to support the Republican team, proud to volunteer as a servant leader and humbled by the opportunity to participate in self-government.

I will not let the greed and power trip of Boss Beltrami or the sleazy mendacious tactics of a hack for hire like Art Hackney color my belief that most of us - Democrats, Republicans and Independents- are hard-working, honest, decent people just trying to do our duty.
