October 13 at 5:39 PM  Alaska  KTUU 2  State says it will prioritize Alaskans in Alaska LNG project hiring process  The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation on Saturday agreed to key terms of an “Alaskans first” hiring setup. 

For 40 years I have heard the Oil Companies say the exact same thing and nearly all the people end up coming from the Lower 48, because Alaskans are not qualified enough to be hired.

What makes this “Promise” Any more valid the those made in the past and what are they willing to do to train Alaskans to make this a true statement?

October 13 at 5:54 PM  Alaska Headlamp  With just four months to go before the scheduled release date for the Alaska LNG Project’s draft environmental impact statement, federal regulators on Oct. 2 sent almost 200 additional information requests to the state’s project team. 

Good to see this project is being taken seriously. There has been to Big of a push to fast track it and they have still yet to show how Alaska can even make a profit, if built.

At current LNG prices if we take the royalties only it will be a 100 years before this project will ever be paid for and Alaska to see money added to the budget.

Plus if we take the 25% instead and try and sell it at current market prices Alaskans will be footing the losses that will occur trying to pay the costs of building it, forcing every Alaskan taxpayer to cough up more each year just to cover the costs of the loss.

This is what AGDC told all of our Lawmakers and all of us several months ago when they meet up. Nothing has changed since then, nor has anyone in that organization shown this to have changed.  Politadick

Good thing “Ballot Measure One” hasn’t been voted on yet. Just imagine if it passes and all the fines the City of Seward would have to pay for saving this bridge.
