The very first Thanksgiving happened almost 400 years ago – long before
the nation was born. How did it evolve into America’s quintessential
national holiday? Credit
largely goes to two people – one, a name you know; the other you’ve
probably never heard – but should. Melanie Kirkpatrick, Senior Fellow at
the Hudson Institute, gives us the rundown on how a harvest party
between Pilgrims and Indians became our oldest national tradition.
Happy Thanksgiving! Politadick |

His ex accused him of an attack that could have meant life in prison. A

A selfie saved him. Christopher Precopia was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her. The time stamp from a selfie helped clear his name. Another reason I will not believe “All” victims. There needs to be laws passed that if giving false accusations. To be fined for all Court costs, job loss and serve time for making them. Politadick |

The Alaska Landmine
The unintended consequences of Dunleavy's loyalty pledge.
Playing Politics with Prosecutors - The Alaska Landmine On
Friday, all exempt (EX) and partially exempt (PX) state employees
(employees not in a union) received an email from Tuckerman Babcock
requesting their resignations and asking them to re-apply for their
jobs. Babcock is Governor-elect Mike Dunleavy’s Transition Chair … Read
More Awesome! You know when somebody has made the right choice when the Left and those in power begin to whine about somebody actually doing their job. It appears after reading this, the only ones complaining are those who want business as usual. To bad they can’t see that this is what put Alaska in the mess it is in now, by doing just that. “Severance packages could cost Alaska Millions”. That should be warning enough that they are making more then the private sector ever will, to do their jobs. Good chance to drain a huge portion of the swamp. Politadick |

DOT seeks to adapt amid climate change in Alaska The Alaska
transportation department is changing how it maintains roads as the
state feels the effects of climate change.
Climate change has made it harder and more expensive to maintain roads
with freezing rain and damage to roads built on thawing permafrost.
MORE: https://bit.ly/2zjJfZ9 What a joke.... Big, Bold, Statement. “Climate Change” 4.5 Billion Years and counting and they think this is the first time in history our planet has warmed up. Why won’t they just tell the truth. They want our “money” to pay for those that think their land will not erode, won’t melt, it’s all humans fault they were stupid to build where they did. Give me, give me all your money. Politadick |

Outgoing Lt. Gov. Davidson considers political future in Alaska
Back in high school, one of Valerie Nurr'araaluk Davidson's career goals
was to one day become governor. The outgoing lieutenant governor has
ruled nothing out as far as continuing her life in politics. Amazing that a person in her previous position and all past experiences, has been catering to 35% of Alaska’s population. Her final statement at the end is why she would never make a good Governor. Clearly your only represented if you are a certain race. No Melting Pot thinking going on there. (“For too long, women, and women of color, and Alaska Native women have not been represented, and so I would say it’s about time. And that if we want to have true representation in our state and in our country, our leadership needs to look like the people that we serve,” said Davidson.) Politadick |
