Live‼️

Politadick · 5:08 Why the no vote on SJR1?

Politadick · 11:29 What about HJR34? Start making the cuts to bloated administration

Politadick · 12:19 Healthcare is the #1 driver of the budget climb each year.... what is being done to cut healthcare costs back to 2009 levels?

Answered:
(Rep. Cathy Tilton · Sen. Shelley Hughes has SB 119 that has some promise. I'm afraid that her position outside of the Senate Majority may seal the same fate on the Senate side as a number of bills you've talked about on the House side (like HB 185).)

Politadick · 21:07 Sounds like you are trying to justify the theft of the PFD with logic that is flawed. There is more then stock market at play for the PFD saving. POMV Restructuring is not needed and a play to take the full PFD to fund government forever. If you know cuts are needed then why are you not making them? $1.2 billion dollar increase from last years budget.

Answered:
(Rep. Cathy Tilton · First, we are trying to make reductions. When you have a House Majority and Governor that are intent are not only resisting any cuts but adding nearly $700 million in new spending, simply "holding the line" on last year's budget is an uphill battle. We are even more challenged this year with the way the FY19 budget has been structured. Second, a new constitutional appropriations limit would help prevent this situation in the future. Unfortunately, constitutional amendments require a 2/3 in both bodies of the legislature just to be placed on the ballot for voter approval. It is doubtful that we have 2/3 in either body (certainly not the House) to pass such an amendment. Like I said on the broadcast, "elections have consequences.")

(Mike Shower · At the end of the day we have one vote each. I don't want increases - but if too many of the other legislators vote for the increases and refuse to pursue cuts - then we lose. (And this is mostly directed at the House majority for this year based on their actions, so far). That is the bottom line.)

Politadick · 21:40 Why pass a bill for insurance companies to charge by credit ratings? It does nothing but Line the pocket books of insurance companies from those that earn a living and if signed into law will take the 33% of Alaskans living already in poverty and cause that number to grow. How is this suppose to be good for Alaskans?

Answered:
(Shelley Hughes · Low income people are not more prone to bad credit than people of other income levels - that is factual and was put on record during the committee process. Those that imply that low income people are prone to poor credit have a discriminatory bias - and it’s fascinating because these tend to be Ds that think this way. Guess they have trouble seeing low income folks as anything but victims. That’s a slap in the face. I used to be low income and never considered myself a victim. I was a respectable American who struggled through tough times, took steps, and worked hard to change my circumstances. BTW, the bill passed will result in lower payments for those with good credit - which includes many low income folks. It will result in payments adjusted up for those with poor credit who are higher risk for the company to take on.)

Reply:
(Politadick · So by implying that the 33% will be impacted the most isn't discriminatory. It's a fact and yes it will affect all the levels of income at different rates. Already struggling Family's will find that they will now half to budget more money they don't have to pay higher insurance costs.

The only people I see befitting from this is the Insurance company's that will be able to charge through the roof everyone who has ever had something bad happen in their lives.

Driving records and Age should be the only real contributing factors here. If you follow the laws and have a good record, you shouldn't be having to pay more then the person who gets in wrecks all the time, but is rich enough or never had disaster strike the family causing them not to have a bad credit record and have to pay more.)

Politadick · 24:00 All of the call times were during working Alaskans time of day. Those who don’t work and the system pays for their survival had plenty of time to pat you on the back for funding them. What do you have for bills passing that actually Benefit the working class if Alaska?

Politadick · 31:36 Early education funding House Bill 287 was designed for nothing more than a manipulative trick for Novembers Election. This is the same thing they did back in 2014…

Answered in Video ()

Politadick · 40:50 Where did the money go for those unfilled positions… They return it back for the budget or have they spend it on other things?

Politadick · 43:51 Get House Bill 185 out of committee and onto the floor and we can move legislation into Anchorage and leave the Capital In Juneau… Why are the most progressive of things needing to be done, still sitting on the table in committees

Politadick · 56:07 Why are Republicans not clearly making sure the reforms that will have the most positive changes, are not being pushed on a daily basis. We seem only to hear about them the day it happens?

Politadick · 58:23 Time to be calling out The Dems on what their agenda is doing to Alaska. Silence is allowing them to continue winning....

The statistics show this is government overreach... Frightening, that All this happening now started because the FBI and Local Police couldn't do their JOBS. The people RESPONSIBLE for allowing this to happen have so far seen no repercussions for all those people Dyeing because they Didn't do their JOBS!!!

Cars kill, Opioid's Kill, Alcohol Kills, Why do none of these things get banned? Oh, that's right, they fit into the Lefts Agenda, even though those things mentioned above, kill more people each year then guns ever have.
