They would rather our children have sex and get pregnant or an STD then promote abstinence. My guess it’s another way to boost the abortion rates of teens to boost their profits....

Hats off the men and women of the USCGC Alex Haley, homeported in Kodiak, for their steadfast work to intercept and detain this vessel suspected of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities.

Each year, illegal fishing produces millions of tons of seafood – threatening our fishermen and the overall health of our fisheries resources. This truly is a global problem, which is why I worked with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass legislation into law – the Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing Enforcement Act – to increase enforcement capabilities for a number of international fishery agreements and give our U.S. enforcement authorities, including the Coast Guard, the tools and resources it needs to combat this type of illegal activity.

Alaska Public.org  Kodiak-based Coast Guard intercepts illegal Chinese fishing vessel  An illegal fishing vessel was intercepted off the coast of Japan with 80 tons of chum salmon and one ton of squid onboard. 

Yet the biggest problem is that subsistence and sports fisherpersons are penalized due to the illegal activities of these fishing vessels.

Their illegal catches are a major contributor to the declining returns to our rivers and steams throughout Alaska.

When will they pass laws that will instantly seize these vessels and not be returned once found guilty? When will the people doing the illegal fishing be put behind bars and their companies fined for the Multimillions of Illegal fish they are harvesting?

Or is it that this is a payoff to China to make the LNG happen and will all be swept under the rug?  Politadick
