Don Young Secretary Zinke has been a great friend to Alaska. I had
the pleasure of serving with him on the House Natural Resources
Committee and fully supported his mission
since he took over at Interior. From finally allowing the community of
King Cove to build a life-saving road, to overseeing the work to begin
opening the 1002 Area of ANWR for development, his time as Interior
Secretary has been critical to Alaska. Secretary Zinke’s
leadership and service has allowed Alaska to shine as an example of how
to responsibly develop and manage natural resources. I want to, once
again, thank Secretary Zinke for his work and passion as head of the
Department of the Interior and I wish him all the best going forward.
