Awesome! Love that a full PFD is in the budget. Let’s see..... Two simple steps to take and Alaska’s budget will be back on track.

$11.5 Billion dollar budget. $1.6 Billion shortfall that really doesn’t exist once you look at the numbers and cut the pork out of the budget.

Since $1.94 Billion of that is a full PFD, that really means that there is only a $680,000,000 Million dollar shortfall. Not the $1.6 Billion they make claims of. $920 Million of that $1.6 Billion shortfall is in the PFD ERA and isn’t really loosing anything. They just like to make you think it is. So in reality there is only the $680 million to come up with.

Second step to a balanced budget. Cut the Medicaid Expansion and that $680 Million will no longer be there. What was done by executive order can be undone by executive order.

“Dunleavy's budget includes $1.94 billion for the 2019 Permanent Fund Dividend — about $3,157 per eligible Alaskan based on the number payouts from 2017 — a $920 million increase from the $1.02 billion proposed in Walker's budget which would mean roughly $1,600 PFDs.”  Politadick
