BREAKING NOW: Eagle River Republicans are set to attack public schools
after teachers save lives and as buildings close.
Tomorrow night, Tuesday December 11th, at
a Republican Party meeting (Districts 13 and 14), attendees will vote on
a resolution urging the State of Alaska to get rid of full day
kindergarten, base district funding on attendance of students and
generally slash support of public schools. This is being proposed just a
week after Anchorage School District teachers safely shepherded
thousands of children to safety and as our community faces the closure
of two Eagle River schools for the remainder of the school year.
Republican
parents, teachers and supporters should attend the meeting scheduled
for Tuesday night at 7pm at Piccolino's (12801 Old Glenn Hwy) and
voice their opposition to this egregious attack on our public
schools and educators.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S
MORE . . .
In addition, there
are resolutions attacking working families and the right to
collective bargaining, as well as urging the repeal of Medicaid
expansion. If you are a registered Republican in Eagle River and
object to these attacks on public education and Alaska working
