August 1 at 8:32 AM  Alaska  Senator Shelly Hughes  When I learned recently that residents had voted me ‘best elected official’ as part of The Frontiersman 2018 Best of the Valley awards, I was surprised. With such an engaged and well-informed citizenry, I’m the one who should be handing out an award! I truly appreciate the relevant input and encouragement you as Alaskans provide. Thank you very much for this honor. Being the keynote at the Best of Valley Awards Night this evening was a hoot too - great crowd. Big congrats to each of the 154 awardees in numerous categories - our community certainly rocks! Over 1/3 of Alaska’s budget pays for healthcare.

In 2020 Alaska’s costs are going up to nearly half as the Feds contribution is reduced and we Alaskans will be forced to cover that with new taxes.

1/3 of Alaskans are receiving health care for free and this doesn’t include our VA in this number. Who by the way earned the right to have it.

Why did our government tap into the PFD ERA to fund government? Well you have to pay for all that free stuff somehow.  Politadick

August 1 at 9:30 AM  PragerU  Video  Should you be forced to fund politicians with whom you strongly disagree or lose your job? For decades, millions of state and local government workers have been forced to do that when paying mandatory dues to their public-sector unions. In this video, Akash Chougule, Senior Policy Fellow at Americans for Prosperity, explains.

Excellent example of why Alaska’s schools are the worst in all 50 States. If you are in doubt. Explain why we are renegotiating contracts again?  Politadick

This was all his fault for these fires that plague their State year after year. They Stopped managing their forests, which created this disaster.

Sad to know that Alaska is following the same game plan that they are using in California.  Politadick

Industries gone for decades are returning to the USA in record numbers.

People now have jobs where there was none. Most of the whiners out there come from over taxed states that continue to bleed their citizens dry to cover their socialists agendas.

Multi-Billions are being brought back into the USA to grow businesses that would never had happen if it wasn’t for what President Trump is doing.

But in States like Alaska where Governor, Mayors, Assembly Members and Lawmakers continue to push the Socialist Agenda are suffering the most.

Time for people to wake up this election year and #WalkAway . Just think how Great the USA will become if that happens this year! Just think what Alaska will become if that was to happen.  Politadick

August 1 at 10:36 PM  Alaska  KTUU 2  Government-paid Medicaid flights don't include building materials, says official  While the state Medicaid office will pay for a flight if medically necessary, it won't pay to haul building materials or propane tanks.  Margaret Brodie, the director of the state Division of Health Care Services, answered questions after a preliminary accident report by the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that a passenger on a Medicaid charter flight was bringing home building materials, totes of groceries and propane tanks.

Wasn’t the Governor just bragging about 40,000 new people were added to the program since it started and they are making claims that cost haven’t grow.....

What a bunch of BS that they are expecting us to believe. Nearly $100,000,000 Million just in travel costs last year!

Sad to see the loss of life isn’t as important as finding out who paid for the extra supplies to be hauled!
