Alaskan's Against Gov Walker PFD Theft
In our experience this is what you always say when you know you would lose the resulting public vote. "In the heat of debate it might be suggested that some of the possible solutions, like the permanent fund proposal, be put to a public vote. They shouldn’t be."   Some things rise to the level of consulting those affected. This is one. Permanently cutting the PFD would fundamentally alter the overall Alaska economy and adopt the very thing that ISER has warned "would be by far the costliest measure for Alaska families." In the middle of a recession, no less. Just as we have with other things, if we are going to do it we need to let those affected, the Alaska public, make the decision. Although some want to be, this is no time to be elitist.

Alaska's Lawmakers and The Budget...

On paper only has the budget been reduced.
Healthcare alone has drove the budget up, so that any cuts they say they have made is now being spent on it.   Politadick

September 5 at 4:06pm  Alaska  Don Young Shares Statement on Elimination of DACA Program.   Washington, D.C. – Alaska Congressman Don Young today shared the following statement on the Trump administration’s decision to rescind the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood…   The Obama administration’s unilateral actions on immigration, including DACA, undermined the role of Congress and were in complete violation of the Constitution. President Obama stated on numerous occasions that he did not have the power or authority to take additional actions on immigration, yet he did so after Congress chose not to deliver what he wanted, when he wanted.

Rewriting our immigration laws through Executive Order, as was done under DACA, is not acceptable. These decisions must receive the approval of Congress. Now that President Trump has overturned this Obama-era order, I believe it’s Congress’ responsibility to address our nation’s broken immigration system, including the legal status of those who were brought to our nation through no fault of their own. Regardless of your viewpoint on the underlying policy, all Americans’ should agree these decisions need to be made by Congress and not by the Executive Branch.

September 5 at 6:42pm  Alaska  Senator Lisa Murkowski   OPINION: We can reform health care with open process, all hands | U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska   In addressing health care, an intensely personal issue to all Americans and one with significant impact on our nation's economy, it's imperative that everyone is heard. This is why I consistently advocated for regular order while the Senate health care proposals were being drafted so ideas from both parties could be considered and thoroughly examined. That open process is beginning. The Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold hearings this week and as a member of that committee, I will be deeply engaged through the process.

I wish I could trust her .
Nothing she has said here today gives any clear plan moving forward and is what Alaskans have been hearing from her for years now.
Even when she voted yes in 2015. She betrayed that in 2017 by NOT even voting Yes to get the plans to the floor.
THEN the first plan on the floor was almost identical to what she voted Yes on on 2015. But was a NO vote now.
Why was that again ?
Oh yeah, Planned Parenthood was going to be defunded.
Tiered of listening to her double talk and want to see a real plan presented. Not lame ideas that we have been listening to for years now.

(EIPCa), the Los Angeles County Voter Registration list has approximately 12,000 registered voters over the age of 105. Of those, 1,000 registered voters were born in the 1800s. This means that there are 1,000 registered voters in Los Angeles who are over 118 years old. But there could be a completely logical answer to the discovery of so many supercentenarians living in California. That answer is that Los Angeles County is violating the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). They are violating the NVRA by failing to properly clean their voter files of those who have passed away. Recently, Judicial Watch and EIPCa notified the state of California that they were in violation of the NVRA. Based on publicly available records, there are 11 counties in California that have more than 100% voter registration. Leading this list is the county of Los Angeles which Judicial Watch reports having 144% of the eligible adults registered to vote...
