October 24 at 6:47am  KTVA 11  Ivanka Trump pushes GOP tax plan, credits in Pennsylvania  White House adviser Ivanka Trump spoke in favor of the Republican effort to overhaul the nation's tax code system in Pennsylvania on Monday.

This new tax code will Rock for Alaskans. Finally be able to grow my business.  When the people I employ, take home more then I do after taxes. The only people who should be complaining is the lower class individuals that will find that they will "pay taxes" and "not" get them back at the end of the year, plus what I paid in on top of it.  Let take a look at the lower income families that pay federal taxes. At the end of the year they file for their tax returns and get all the money they paid in back and a few hundred to thousands more then what they paid to begin with. Who do you think they are getting that extra money from?  That's right it off of the backs of people like me who pays 50+% of my income each year for all of the taxes I'm required to pay.  Politadick

October 24 at 4:18pm  Alaska  Alaska lawmakers are trying hard to push SB54 through in a very short sighted attempt to fix SB91. Call in tonight and give your testimonies. SB54 will only make things worse for all Alaskans and does nothing to stop the car thieves and drug abusers from robbing your house.  It's still a revolving door crime bill that doesn't fix a thing.  Politadick
October 24 at 4:24pm  Alaska  Senator Shelly Hughes More #Telling_it_like_it_is.... As constituents, you deserve to know the outcome of today’s Committee on Committees meeting in Juneau: I was removed from 4 of my 5 committee assignments.   Because of my vote earlier this year opposing a budget that was too large and set us on a path that (unless we change course soon) will require both taxes and ever-increasing reductions to PFDs, I lost the committee seats.  I was stripped of my seat on Finance, my vice chairmanship and seat on Labor & Commerce, my seat on Resources, and my seat on the Armed Services Committee - replaced by Senators Gary Stevens, Peter Micciche, Click Bishop, and Anna MacKinnon respectively. The Committee on Committees retained only my seat on the Education Committee.  I knew removal from committees would be one of several consequences for my vote, and I’m not bitter nor do I regret my decision to vote the way I did. I consider members of the senate majority to be my friends and colleagues. The purpose of this post is not to point fingers at individuals but to point fingers at a rule we need to abandon.  My concern is for Alaska and her future, for constituents, for Alaskans - and those who will serve us in years ahead. Is this rule that inhibits legislators from voting freely on behalf of their constituents good for Alaska? Is it fair? Is it right? Or is it time for Alaska to abolish this archaic rule as other states have done. Goodness, even the US Congress doesn’t have this rule! (Tap on link below not photo to see article.) This rule has taken three different people and stopped them from speaking up.  They have listened to what people like me and you have had to say and done something about it.  Senator Shelly Hughes, what can we do to get this rule removed from Alaska's government?  Politadick
