Air quality alert for North Pole area; first under tougher rules banning
wood burning FAIRBANKS—The first air quality alert this winter
was issued Monday by the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
The alert is in effect until 5 p.m. Tuesday. Burning of wood or coal is
prohibited for those who do not have a waiver.
Never fails that the government wants you to be poor, freezing and on
state assistance so they can control you....

Permanent Fund. There will also be bills proposed to address the high

After reading what was written. They have clear intent of taking the
PFD’s and not enshrining it into Alaska’s constitution.
$10 billion dollar budget and growing this year and only a $9 billion
was approved. This is the highest budget the state of Alaska has ever
seen and I’m predicting they will hit the $12 billion mark this year
before they are done. Bringing the grand total with federal
contributions to over $20 billion dollars this year.
Over and over we have heard the failed
promises that they make about the reductions they made. If this was true
the $9 I mean $10 wait $11 billion dollar budget would be at $7 billion
dollars this year.

NPS extends comment period for proposed fee hike
The National Park Service is giving people more time to weigh in on a
proposed fee increase at 17 of its most popular parks-- including
Denali.
This will be extremely bad for Alaska. We are already a high cost
destination to travel to as a vacation spot and this will cause more
people to rethink whether or not that price is worth paying for.
With what they are proposing. Currently you could stay three days at
current rates and with the proposed new rate, one day would cost equal
to 3 days at the current rate.
Disaster for Alaskans if this is to happen.

Homeowners will pay about $130 less in property taxes next year on
average, but drivers will pay a new local gas tax, starting in March.
Taxation without representation. Lets tax everyone who goes to Anchorage
for gas, in a State that already pays more then they do anywhere else
and then they will say... Hey, we are going to give you a break on
homeowners property taxes next year...... But wait, we don't want you to
remember the tax hike we did this year on your properties that was more
then what they are now going to give you as a rebate........ Now Wait
For It, Wait For It....... They already plan on raising
taxes next year on property's again to take care of the new $500 million
dollar bonds they want to take out this next year...
