Teacher turnover costs state’s school districts around $20M per year
Alaska schools hire about 1,000 new teachers each year to offset the
annual turnover of staff. And it's a process that doesn't come cheap.
“We estimated the time and the wages associated with doing all of these tasks and all of the people who were involved. We didn’t calculate the benefits that are associated with those employee wages and that would add significantly to the cost, too.” |

"We have a time-honored custom that we have one president and one
administration at a time.”
The depth of this potential coverup is astonishing. These opinion hit job story's are becoming extremely old. Where is the real news @? What is up with Susan Rice? Loretta Lynch? The lawsuit against the DNC, for Bernie Sanders? The IRS scandal? How about Seth Rich? Does the laptop that the police have, have the missing emails from Hillary Clinton? What are the Democrats doing about the healthcare, from what I am able to see, you want to see Americans not succeed by obstruction and can't come up with a good idea to make things better…? |

Interior Secretary Zinke Defends Agency Budget Cuts - Flathead Beacon
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is defending the Trump administration’s
budget proposal unveiled last week, despite deep cuts it would make to… Alaska Democrats say: As Alaska's Republican federal delegation Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, and Congressman Don Young galavants around the state with Trump's Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, we should take a look at his policy positions and how they will affect us up here in our amazing state. The Trump administration's budget would scale back significantly on new federal land acquisitions and revenue-sharing partnerships with states including Alaska, while seeking new oil and drilling opportunities in the Arctic, under its fiscal 2018 Interior budget proposal unveiled earlier this month.
"The president's FY 2018 budget axes many programs that conserve natural
resources, address climate change and invest in science," said Mark
Tercek, CEO of the Nature Conservancy. "We hope Congress will not
follow this budget, and are encouraged by signs that they understand
clean air, clean water, resilient communities and a healthy economy
must be priorities."
It's about time we have people in office that care more for the people paying the taxes and how government spends their money! Now if only we could get the government in Alaska to do the same thing, instead of what they have been doing. Now that would truly be news worthy! Politadick |
