June 7, 2017 at 6:46pm  Alaska Public Media Alaska budget uncertainty affecting Permanent Fund Corp investment  "We just want to know how much… how much to write the check for to send over to the state…

This is so relevant for Alaskans to know!

Wait a second here... You have said "The House has proposed drawing out $4.1 billion in the next year, which is $1.6 billion dollars more than the Senate."

That means the Senate wants 2.5 billion dollars from the fund...

I can't seem to post this enough today...

No new taxes. Cut your spending. Stay out of our PFD's. Hard choices need to be made and though they will be unpopular, they need to be done. You gave away over 3 billion dollars in capital credits over the last three years with 0 return for the investment. The current new oil reserve of 2.5 billion barrels that need to be brought to production isn't going to happen because they refuse to build it because oil companies realize Alaska's government won't control their spending habits.

But Alaska's government doesn't want you to believe this has anything to do with our current fiscal problems.

Two areas of Alaska's budget that are overblown: education and healthcare. The first is nearly 700 million over budget and # of people going too school hasn't change since 1996 (156,000 school age kids then and 154,000 now) yet the budget went from 1.6 billion in 1996 to 3.5 billion this last school year.

Healthcare is also out of control. In 1996 it was only 1.3 billion to 2.4 billion in 2016. 20 million this year alone has been spent on just travel expense from rural areas.

Many more Alaskans are paying attention this year, unlike in the past with what you are doing in Juneau and we're taking notes on who to vote for in the coming election. Those who are trying to do the necessary cuts to the budget will have jobs after this next election. We will make sure of it, no mater how unpopular those cuts will be! Total state spending in 1996 was only 7.1 billion dollars. Population in Alaska was 605,000 then. Budget in 2016 17.1 billion. With a population of 739,000.

There is no reason the budget should have grown by 10 billion in that short time other than government had to keep spending more because they could! As the money coming in from oil keep increasing so did their spending. Now that the money isn't there, Alaska's government still can't control what they spend.

Governor Walker and the House plan will increase the budget by 200 million if they get their way and will create new taxes, income tax, fuel tax and does nothing to reduce the over spending they have come accustom too.

Did I forget to mention take our PFD's with future intentions to eliminate them all together. (This is their end goal for our PFD's). Time for the tough choices to be made by Alaska's government and do the cuts to the budget Politadick

"When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people —

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he would end the practice that allowed companies to meet settlement burdens by giving money to groups that were neither victims nor parties to the case.
June 7 at 10:59pm Alaska  TOWN HALL SHUTS DOWN WHEN REP. NANETTE BARRAGAN RUNS AND HIDES FROM TRUMP SUPPORTERS.

It's about time these politicians understand that the live in the USA! Please watch to the end, I know for some, it'll be a little controversial or a little long.

Opinion: President Trump supporters ask the tough questions. The silent majority is staring to unite.

Time for our representatives to be held accountable for what they say about President Trump.

As the unpaid, non-Soros coordinated Americans also called Deplorable's begin to rise up and no-longer keep silent, as they bring the truth forward for all to hear.

I only wish they would of let her defend the questions instead of chanting her opinion down. We Deplorable's are better than that. It would of been very exciting to see her responses and presenting the laws she is breaking and continue to ask how she can support those decisions, like illegal immigration and sanctuary cities. Just too name a few of many questions.

These representatives do not have the answers needed for the tough questions. They only have their carefully planned talking bulletin points passed off by the far leaning left Democratic Party and Rino's.

To bring this discussion more on the homefront. Alaska's government representatives, well the ones I will name anyways, Governor Walker and the majority of the house representatives Mostly Democrats, a few independents and a small handful of Republicans and if you pay attention A few of those are Rino's.

For them, I think the Budget is a good example of our politicians in the house not wanting to answer the tough questions we Alaskans have for them.

A few examples of this is: they had 500 million in budget cuts presented to them and without even looking at them said no we can't do it.

The overall budget of the state of Alaska is $17.1 billion last year. Yet, let's look at a little history… In 1996 we had 605,000 people living in Alaska and a budget of only $7.1 billion. Into 2017 we have 739,000, with a budget of $17.1 billion, how can you justify a $10 billion increase for only 139,000 extra people? I have a long list of these type of questions for you that need answering and all Alaskans deserve to know.

Instead they hide away in Juneau, costing taxpayers millions to fix the budget that they say they are fixing, in the special sessions their in. But in the last two years they have manage to increase it not decrease it.

Now Go back to the vote that the House passed for the budget originally and you will see by the vote what I mean!

Now to end this on a more positive note their is one member of the Senate that refused to approve their budget. Odds running in his favor to be the next governor of Alaska.

Enjoy the video, maybe there some lessons to be learned from it…
