Most of my liberal friends won't bother to watch this report because the
headline telegraphs that there is something in it which is favorable to
President Donald
J Trump.
We are all guilty of something called "confirmation bias" which means
that we tend to automatically give credence to evidence which supports
what we already believe at the same time that we discount anything which
runs counter to what we already believe. Why so many continue to support
Trump in spite of the overwhelmingly negative press which he gets has
puzzled me. Given that we all tend to be herd animals the fact that so
many are resisting being brainwashed by the media is amazing. One common
response which I get from folks who do not really know Trump in any
direct, personal or professional way is that they can see what he had
done. His source of wealth and power is obvious in the office buildings,
casinos, golf courses, TV programs and other enterprises where he has
both won and lost great wealth. You may or may not like or approve but
where that wealth and power came from is quite obvious whereas the
massive wealth and power of those leading the attacks on Trump are less
obvious. Contrasted to the Clintons, Trump is an open book. No one can
explain how a couple of attorneys from the backwaters of Arkansas became
both immensely wealthy and powerful, when they had nothing to sell but
