Yes, we've cuts hundreds of millions -- from your dividends, from
oversized capital budgets, from oil tax credits -- but relatively little
from day-to-day…
The Alaska Chamber agrees with Senator Shelley Hughes. More reductions
can, and should, be made to curtail state spending before turning to
taxing hardworking Alaskans.
The Chamber has long advocated for sustainable state spending and
reducing the operating budget to a level Alaskans can afford — only then
after that should we look to new forms of revenue.
