on a list of 30 changes Republicans had decided to make. The list

had not seen the final language of the tax-cut bill.

Keep those needed cruise ship dollars rolling in every year. They bring
millions a year in revenue to many different places in Alaska every
year.
To finally
free that money up for Alaska Natives is awesome. Nearly 50 years
that money has been locked up.
Last ANWR is
something I have waited my whole life to see developed. Only part
that makes me upset is the split. It should be 90/10 as it always
has been. Not 50/50.

The Senate tax bill proposes deep cuts to taxes on alcohol producers,
possibly resulting in hundreds if not thousands of additional
alcohol-related deaths…
“Nearly all empirical evidence suggests more Americans will lose their
lives as a result of the Senate’s proposed change in tax policy.”
One major piece missing from this entire article... States have the
ability to add a tax onto Alcohol and bring that money directly into the
states coffers...
Which if the concern is that it will get more people drunk because it’s
so cheap, everyone will drink more.... Then impose your own state tax to
make the prices go back up again.
Alaska’s government has already suggested doing that this past year and
this would give the the ability to do it and not impact the market
of craft brewers in Alaska.
